The 2024 Annual General Meeting

The 2024 MOTION Annual General Meeting held in Istanbul marked another significant milestone for our network, bringing together industry professionals for three days of networking, learning, and collaboration. This year, we were delighted to witness steady growth within the MOTION community, with many new faces joining our ranks, enriching our discussions and expanding our horizons.

The event kicked off on September 11th with our unique "Savor & Sail" experience on the Bosphorus. Attendees enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast while introducing themselves and their companies, fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere from the start. Following the introductions, roundtable discussions provided a platform for participants to delve deeper into topics of mutual interest. These informal conversations encouraged the exchange of ideas and perspectives, strengthening the bonds among attendees. Upon returning to shore, participants enjoyed a traditional Turkish marbling workshop, which not only united attendees in a creative endeavour but also offered a unique cultural experience, enhancing the sense of community and relaxation that is vital for effective networking. The evening concluded with a cocktail reception, setting the stage for the main event days to follow.

The highlight of the day was an enriching panel discussion focusing on critical themes such as “Expanding Your Service Offerings: Identifying New Opportunities and Markets for Growth” and “Innovative Strategies: How Small and Medium Freight Forwarders Can Stand Out in a Competitive Market.” The panellists provided valuable insights and actionable strategies that resonated with attendees, igniting discussions that continued long after the sessions concluded.

September 12th and 13th were packed with valuable one-on-one meetings, allowing attendees to forge new connections and strengthen existing relationships. The carefully structured agenda provided ample time for these crucial interactions. The gala dinner on the 12th of September was a fine occasion for everyone to relax, reflect, and strengthen the relationships formed during the AGM.
