A proud member of the Motion Logistics Network, East West Freight Carriers Ltd recently accomplished a four-month-long project. Their task involved transporting perishable goods, specifically Drum Sticks (Vegetables), from Hyderabad, India, to Singapore, with a stopover in Bangkok, Thailand. The cargo was an impressive 53 MT in weight.
After a competitive bidding process, East West Freight Carriers emerged victorious by offering competitive prices while maintaining their commitment to delivering high-quality service. Their team meticulously planned every aspect of the shipment, ensuring that each step was executed with utmost care and per the highest industry standards. The transportation was handled through a combination of air and road routes.
One of the team's crucial responsibilities was to preserve the freshness of the vegetables throughout the journey, especially during waiting periods before flights. As soon as the vegetables arrived at the airport, they were promptly placed in cold storage facilities. To meet the client's request to ship the cargo to Singapore on the same day it reached Bangkok, East West Freight Carriers Ltd successfully arranged the first available flight with Thai Airways International. Additionally, special temperature-controlled trailers were utilized during road transport to maintain the quality and freshness of the vegetables.
The team executed the transportation smoothly, ensuring that all necessary paperwork was obtained. They acquired a special Plant Quarantine Certificate, meeting one of the requirements for the shipment. Impressively, they efficiently completed all customs formalities and concluded the process by submitting the Plant Quarantine Certificate to the customs authority.
